What should I wear to class?
Wear comfortable, stretch, cotton clothing that doesn't restrict your movement.

Do I need any special equipment?
A yoga mat is useful and a blanket.

I've never done hatha yoga before and I'm not very flexible. Can I still come along to class?
Yes. Don't worry. Anyone can practise yoga and the postures can be adapted to suit you , if necessary. Always work at your own pace and don't worry about what anyone else is doing.

Will I ache afterwards.
Yes you might. Muscle soreness is normal and will soon pass.

How often should I practise yoga postures?
This depends, however generally speaking, a few minutes a day is better than one long session per week. Start slowly and build up gradually. Attending class and having a home practise is very beneficial.

Can I practise if I have my period?
Yes you can, and it will even help ease symptoms. Listen to your body. You may find a gentler practise is needed at this time and you might want to avoid full body inversions, like shoulderstand.
